At JR-West Hotels, in order to prioritize the health and safety of our customers and employees, we have devised new “Clean & Safety” hygiene standards.
Even amidst this new way of life, we will continue to strive to create uncompromising cleanliness and a hygienic environment so that our customers can enjoy a safe,
comfortable stay and an exquisite vacation.
The primary points of “Clean & Safety” are as follows.
■Please refrain from visiting us if you are showing cold symptoms, such as a cough, or if you have a temperature above 37.5°.
■For guests staying overnight, we are taking temperatures and inquiring about the route they took to the hotel, including overseas locations, when they check in.
(We are encouraging guests who have a temperature above 37.5° to remain in their rooms and get checkups from medical institutions.)
■We are implementing temperature taking and health monitoring for customers at the entrances of the restaurants and event venues.
(We are refusing entry to those with temperatures above 37.5°, those who have coughs, and those who are in poor health.)
■We ask that you wear a mask when you arrive at any of our hotels.
■We have made alcohol-based disinfectant available at various sites around our hotels (lobbies, restaurants, elevator halls, event venues, toilets, etc.).
We request that you sterilize your hands and fingers as appropriate.
We recommend that you wash your hands with soap for 30 seconds or more.
■We are implementing regular cleaning and sterilization of places likely to be touched by a large number of unspecified persons, such as lobbies and surrounding areas (including elevator buttons, escalator handrails, toilets, etc.).
■In addition to standard cleaning procedures, we are also implementing cleaning and sterilization of places subject to frequent hand-touching (including doorknobs, remote controls for TVs and air conditioners, telephones, chairs and tables, writing instruments, switches, flushing lever handles for toilets, paper holders and faucets, bathtub and shower handles, hairdryers, in-room information provided in guest rooms, etc.) and the washlet nozzles.
■In addition to standard cleaning procedures, we are also implementing cleaning and sterilization of places subject to frequent hand-touching (including doorknobs, tables, chairs, menus, tableware, condiment containers, microphones, and cloakroom tags) between each use.
■We are periodically ventilating all areas of the hotels.
■As always, we are thoroughly monitoring hygiene based on food hygiene management.
In addition, we are strengthening our kitchen cleaning and the high-temperature cleaning of eating utensils and cutlery.
■We have set up infection prevention shields at front desks to minimize the amount of direct contact between customers and employees.
We have also implemented measures for customers to keep wider gaps between themselves and those in front or behind when lining up.
■We have implemented measures for customers to keep wider gaps between themselves and those around them at the restaurants and event venues.
We have also implemented measures for customers to keep wider gaps between themselves and those around them in elevators and smoking rooms.
Please cooperate with us to ensure proper social distancing when using these facilities.
■Our new service allows guest to check seating availability of the breakfast restaurant on the Web before dining.
More information will be provided by the hotel staff when checking in.
※Restaurant seating availability can be checked using the in-room tablet at Hotel Granvia Hiroshima, the in-room video-on-demand system at Hotel Vischio Osaka.
In addition, Nara hotel is reservation only.
■When a customer requests room service, we leave the cart outside their door and ring the bell to notify them.
※Except Hotel Granvia Wakayama, Hotel Granvia Okayama, Hotel Vischio Kyoto, Osaka and Amagasaki.
■We are promoting cashless payment at the front desk and restaurants. We are also not passing money directly by hand but rather placing it in the cash tray.
■All employees (including those of our tenants and hotel suppliers) wear masks and, before they begin work each day, have their temperatures taken and are asked if they are in good health.
We are also inquiring about the physical wellbeing of our employees’ families.
■For all employees (including those of our tenants and hotel suppliers), we are implementing hand-washing, and sterilization of hands and fingers at regular intervals.
We are also reinforcing the regular cleaning and sterilization of places with a high probability of physical interaction in all employee areas, where we have made alcohol-based disinfectant available.
■We have set up “Clean & Safety” noticeboards in or near our lobbies, and are providing instruction to guests who arrive at our hotels in addition to requesting their cooperation.
